Awesome. Thanks for reminding me, forgot about our great finish to last season. Been a fun ride so far.
Bringing stats. I wouldn't call that a career day. He did have a good game. But meh. At least it wasn't another 400 yard day.
please tell me this isn't some sort of defense of our pass defense...please tell me that. because here are the pertinent stats for that: Matt Cassel Season: 158 yards / 4 TDs / 3 INTs / QB Rtg - 84.5 / 54% vs HOU: 189 yards / 3 TDs / 0 INTs / QB Rtg - 122.9 / 69%
Maybe calling it a "career day" oversells it a little bit, but not much. That is a remarkably good stat line... one that should shame our defensive players and coaches to their core.
of course it is...it's a joke. he came in and outperformed his season averages by a ton...like every other QB we've faced. i don't care if he threw for 250 vs. the 49ers...makes no difference. slight statistical variation like that may have to do with the fact that we couldn't stop their running game, either. or that our offense did a better job of making sure he had less time of possession than he had against the Niners. none of that matters. the point is, he exerted his will over the game..and the Texans defense looked helpless against him.
I'm dreaming big with the Texans. I'm hoping they can make the Super Bowl. There was no need to make an immature post like that.
Just watched the 4th quarter for the first time (I was listening to the radio on Sunday). Even though I knew what was gonna happen, I was on the edge of my seat. These games are exciting.
To be fair MM, Cassel looked a bit flustered in the pocket at the end of the game when it wasn't about him coming in and managing it. He never really felt any kind of pressure from the DL or from the game itself until the last couple of drives and he looked really bad. I think the fact that we couldn't stop their run really helped set him up. However, as good as he was the first 55 minutes of the game, Cassel did not impress when the game was on the line. Very much a front runner of a QB.
let me make myself very clear: in no way do I think Cassel is as good a QB as the Texans made him appear to be last Sunday.
