but the call really makes no sense. it should have been either PI on AJ or a no call. Flowers didn't do anything but stay with AJ stride by stride.
And how many times do we see KObe create contact only to end uo shooting free throws, that's all I meant, we are in agreement, the call as it was, was horse****.
"The Call" - if no flag was thrown, no one on either side would even remember it. That said, Johnson absolutely created (slight) separation by nudging Flowers in the back. That Flowers was called for interference for being bumped off...had the tables been turned, every poster here would be LIVID. But like others have noticed - the PI was declined since AJ made the catch, so it didn't screw KC. And that nudge doesn't get called 95% of the time, so no major screwjob there either.
Brandon Flowers showed he was human and not a dancer, his signs were vital, his hands were cold. He was on his knees looking for the answer...
If you acknowledge it could be a no-call, then why would you be angry if you were a Chiefs fan? The call had nothing to do with the game, unless you think it was a blatant PI on AJ. (I don't, because if that's off-PI, then about half the downfield patterns in the league are illegal.) The ball was caught, and the penalty was declined. Irrelevant. The worst call of the game was the phantom PI on what was a great play on the ball by Kareem on 4th and 3 on the first drive of the game - extended the drive and handed the Chiefs seven points.
Thanks for the clarification guys. I didn't see the 40 yard pass to set up that touchdown. All the highlights I've seen are the winning MATT SCHAUB CLUTCH touchdown pass.
if the flag had not been thrown, i don't think it would be such a big deal. chiefs fans are pissed b/c there was a flag, but on the wrong guy. i do feel it should be a no call but i certainly understand why it upsets chiefs fans. i thought the PI on KJax was BS too. yet, a bunch of posters here felt it was just another KJ **** up and warranted a flag.
I kept thinking man it must suck to have the same name as that dbag. That's almost as bad as Mike Bolton.

pretty good viewing next week. We get to watch three football games. Pittsburgh at Miami (early) New England at San Diego (late) Philadelphia at Tennessee
I would rather be lucky to be 4-2, and have things to work on than think my team was a super bowl contender and be 1-4. DD

The coaching has been outrageously poor. You have to admit that, it is quite clear. They are winning games because they have one of the most talented offensive groups in the NFL, they are going to win games regardless of who the coach is. The defensive schemes and passing plays offensively have been horrible for a majority of the season.
Yeah, the officials could have probably saved themselves a lot of yelling had they just picked up that flag rather than call it on Flowers. Had it been a no-call, as others pointed out you wouldn't be hearing anything about it. And then the stupid ass announcers kept harping on the penalty like it really helped the Texans, when the reality was it didn't make any difference. Andre caught the damn ball. These TV guys seem to get stupider and stupider every week. This team is killing me. Going into the season with Cushing out 4 weeks (and then Duane Brown later), I would have LOVED to have been 4-2 going into the bye week. And yet, here we are and I have no confidence in this team moving forward. I feel about as hopeless with this team right now as I did last season after they lost 4 in a row to their division before they won their last handful of games. If we come out and look good against Indy after the bye, even if we end up losing barely, I might feel a bit better...but I honestly expect to get ****ing ROASTED by Peyton in that game.
Without the push off. . . . does he catch the ball? Is the defender in position to bat it away? that's the problem with bad calls. . . . even if they had no affect. . u never know. Rocket River
So again, let me get this straight, when the Texans lose, it's on the coaching, but when the Texans win, it's because we are very talented? Who exactly assembled this talent, by the way?
