Absolute must win situation. Because you have to expect a loss at Indy on Monday night. If we're 3-4 it's panic time.
there should be a thread about this. the guy is TE RI BLE at returning. He takes too long to decide which way he is going. He should pick a route and stick to it. He's too slow. Im beggining to think he's just plain dumb. I hate to trash a guy, but returns are not his thing. He is useful at RB on some cases. Can they not sign a guy off the street to return kicks? How hard is it to find a guy that runs fast??
Seriously. You have to hold your breath when Jacoby Jones is about to catch a ball, but at least he knows what to do.
Agreed. Everytime I see Slaton back there waiting for the kick, I just pray to God he doesn't do anything stupid like run into his own blocker...Oh wait, he's already done that about 3 times this season
With the remaining schedule after the bye week I thought the NY and KC were both must win games to get into the playoffs. Now with the way SD is playing if they can win this one and the SD game there is still hope. The Texans get SD the week before their (SD) bye and just finished playing Tenn. Maybe Tenn can do the Texans a solid and beat them up pretty good. Texans 31 KC 27 Makes my stomach weak thinking that the D has held a team to less than 24 points in a game.
The Chiefs played pretty good defense against the Colts last week, so I'm wondering if the offense can rebound ... not only the defense was bad, but the offense was also (very) bad against the Gaints. Texanse: 21 Chiefs: 16
This picture showing up in the thread is enough to make my blood boil. Nightmares. Why, REEKO...WHY? Twenty. One. Point. Fourth. Quarter. We're all dooooooomed!
yeah, he gave Kris Brown a chance...wait...who is our kicker again? careful...you are getting close to the brian chapman zone
I'm just hoping they come out more aggressive and disciplined. Last week was embarrasing. The number of yellow flags on special teams was pathetic.
This is a great word for what seems to be wrong with this team. They have talent for days, but they just seem undisciplined. Especially the secondary.
Execution/discipline definitely need to improve. Kubiak made mention of the first 13 plays the texans had something like 8 or 9 missed assignments. I'm would love to have known what those were
I'm at the point now where I'm starting to feel paralysis by analysis with this team. Just freaking go out there and win the game. Give the fans something to cheer about going into the bye week. 4-2 (3-0 in conference) looks pretty damn good right now. Don't send us home depressed....AGAIN. I'm starting to miss the days where this team would go 6-2 at home. At least then, you didn't feel bad about spending your entire Sunday at the stadium.
As everyone knows, Peyton calls plays based on what he sees at the line of scrimmage. He does all of that yelling, pointing, etc. to throw off or confuse the defense. Sunday in KC, Haley had his defense constantly shift their formations until seconds before the ball was snapped thereby screwing up Peyton's reads. The result was that Peyton looked confused out there and it threw off the timing & reads he and his receivers were supposed to make against the blitz, zone & man-to-man coverages. That's why they looked so out of sync. I thought this was a very clever strategy if your defense could execute it properly. Now if they can do that against the Colts, it will be interesting to see what defensive strategy they employ against the Texans.
