Well, only being 4-3 sucks. but it's better than being 1-6. one thing that stands out to me. Is that (not sure if it's true this week) we were/are ranked #1 in Red zone efficiency scoring lots of TD's. Didn't we use to suck at scoring in the red zone? Is the success due to the impact of having Foster? I can't think what would make us any better. Just this year we can pound it in....last year Brown would come up short...or fumble.
I think it's a combination of Foster's effectiveness and Schaub's improvement to try to make something out of nothing. I can't think of anything else it could be anyway.
I am so unexcited about the Texans that if they lose to the Chargers and go 4-4, I am just going to stop caring and watching. They just don't have "it" and I think that "it" includes a good coach. I am so tired of overpaid underperforming players especially on defense. Defensive futility frustrates me worse of all. After all these years, all these high draft picks and they still don't have a defensive line, there is no excuse.
This is the game you need a balanced offense. If Kubiak runs all day then I think his momma dropped him a few too many times.
Are they underperforming? If they are what they are . .. well some of the blame can be lifted from Kubes. If they are indeed underperforming . . alot is on Kubes and his staff. Which is why I an concerned. I think they are underperforming. I think another coach or coaches would have this team easily 6-1. Next Question: If they are underperforming . . what does Rick Smith's fault lie in this? People have tied him and Kubes at the hip . . . but if he is getting good to decent players but the coach cannot coach them . . what can he do? I think Smith can improve . . . I think he relies some on coaches input would it mean with a better coach he would make better decisions? I dunno. Rocket River
Well looks like Gates is going to play from what I hear ... Gotta watch him closely on 3rd and Gates no matter how much he is limping around between plays.
Coogs lose friday Rockets lose saturday We're depending on the Texans to avoid the city wide, complete weekend sports trifecta fail.
Up to go run in a 25K downtown, then it's off to the game. They win and I'll be pain free. They botch it and I'll let them have it.
I said in last week's game that I had a bad feeling about it, and that we were going to lose (albeit, I was a little dramatic, saying we'd lose by 59). Well, guys, I hate to say it, but I'm not feeling good about this one. This is a big game for the Chargers, and I have a feeling that our squad no longer knows what the term "big game" means after the first week of the season. I hate to say it, but our playoff chances are pretty much in the rear view at this point.... Chargers 38 Texans 24 Some day we will make the playoffs. Some day.
