    Peyton Manning >> Phillip Rivers
    Colts o-line > Chargers o-line

Reggie Wayne, Garcon, Anthony Gonzalez, Tamme >>> Chargers scrub WR's without Gates

I'm not saying we should be favored and this is a win by any means, but this situation does not even compare to last week with regard to the injuries.

I think we may be a bit surprised with their running game too ... we are not very good at stopping the run either, we just haven't faced a team that has taken full advantage of it. The Chiefs showed glimpses. Matthews, Tolbert, and Sproles could make it a very bad day for us. We are basically going to have to bank on turnovers and sacks to win this game for us (assuming the offensive playcalling doesn't go full r****d like last week). I do expect it to be a close game though.

I just bought tickets from a friend for well under face value. It'll be my first game this year.

    He's there now?

Damn it. I was hoping they had nothing but blocking TEs left.

Orly? They had Reggie Wayne, Garcon, Gonzales and Tamme doesn't look like a slouch.

The line will change. The Texans got this one.

Edit: Diehard Rocket touched on everything. Didn't see it before.

True, but the Texans D actually didn't do that bad against the Colts. The offense and Kubiak's horrible game calling is what did us in. That pick six especially hurt. You can't expect the defense to stay up the entire game when they are always on the field. You need to pound the ball to keep them off and especially Peyton off. Didn't happen.

Yeah exactly. The D did what it could.

268 yards for Peyton, 23 points allowed, 19 incompletions, 2 sacks, numerous hurries. If I told you all that would happen the morning of the game , we all would throw a "Texans sweep the Colts" party.

Ogunleye is no longer with the team. He was waived earlier in the week.

Next week's game against Jacksonville will be called by Gus Johnson.

Here's the CBS announcer assignments for the next three weeks:

11/14 Texans @ Jaguars -- Gus Johnson, Steve Tasker
11/21 Texans @ Jets -- Greg Gumbel, Dan Dierdorf
11/28 Titans @ Texans -- Ian Eagle, Dan Fouts

Acee just said on NFL Network that he thinks he'll play. If he does he's one tough mother****er.

Charger's just signed Kelly Washington too.

I agree, I just meant the team in general, the defense actually played fairly well, the offense (Kubiak) however did not take advantage of the defense holding the Colts in check relatively speaking.

Def tough in my books. He has played through some painful injuries in the past.

Sounds like he should rest until week 11 though since the Chargers have a bye next week.

What he did last game was take an injection to neutralize the pain, the problem won't be during the game but after.

I really don't know if I want him to play or not this is a crucial game but we could lose for the rest of the season...

I just heard an interesting stat on the NFL.com playbook video. San Diego is ranked last in every single special teams category. Jacoby might have a big day returning, maybe that could turn out to be huge. They must be losing so much because they are giving the other team great field position so often.

They're losing so much because they also keep turning the ball over. They are like the Cowboys.

They had a KR that was worse than Steve "1/2 yard line" Slaton?

From Moss thread that got shut down -- i had a deposition all day yesterday, so i was unable to edit after seeing so many responses...i wrote that we were "after" the Texans. I meant we were "before"...that's why I was critical of the Texans for not taking a stab at it.

and Donny, i totally missed the Flying Saucer comment until just this morning!
