I disagree with that rule, didnt he catch it outside the endzone? Didnt he make a football move into tho endzone?
Seriously wasn't this always the rule? I remember QBs jumping over the pile breaking the plane and losing the ball but it was called a TD beacause it BROKE THE PLANE!!!
If anyone knows anyone at the game: text or call them, tell them to find the media booth, and tell them to punch Fouts in the face.
You're just saying you're rooting for the Chargers Dan... thanks for at least admitting it. Now I won't be looking for any impartial "neutral" commentary the rest of the game.
foster plays for the texans, so no. if you catch the ball for a quarter of a second and fumble, that's a catch and your drive continues. if you catch the ball, hold it, and cross the goalline and then get tackled and drop the ball, no catch.
Don't get it...he caught the ball, broke the plane of the endzone, made a football move and maintained possession until he touched the ground. So the ground can't cause a fumble but it can cause an incomplete pass even though he already had control of it. Freakin' stupid.
agreed, he's not that much of a homer. the folks b****ing about it are much more annoying then he is.
Different because its a reception. That's why the rule is stupid... it needs to be the same for both runs and catches.
I don't understand this rule. He crossed the plane. He had the ball in his hand when he crossed. Therefore, TD.
exactly. if that's not possession and a football move, then what is? they are taking the whole "completing the process" thing way too far. you can't get hit after you secure the ball and make a move and then still consider that part of the process. if that happened in the field of play, why do i think it's considered a fumble that the chargers can recover? maybe because the rules are stupid.
Yep, I can begin to understand if he catches the ball in the endzone and then the ball comes out BUT he caught it outside the endzone and ran it in like a RB...I am confused.
oh no, that totally changes my opinion! no wait... that has no bearing on my opinion whatsoever. foust may be a charger homer, but his color commentating is not that bad. people just like b****ing.
