I hope Marquis stays in there for awhile... not that the Cards bullpen is any better, but he's good for at least one more HR allowed (esp. with this Brew-crew lineup).

I wouldn't call the Mad Hungarian smug. He's kinda like Ron Santo for the cubs. They are big homers and never criticize the team but I think that's just because they are oblivious, not smug. Doesn't make it any easier to listen to but it somehow doesn't seem as bad to me.

Bummer they couldnt get more but, good start for the Brew Crew!

Now, memo to Ned Yost if game on line, DO NOT pitch to Pud-holes. Make Rolen beat you. :p

Man, that game last night still makes me mad. Bochy what were you thinking? Pujols the only one in the lineup that can beat you. If I'm Bochy, I only pitch to Pud-holes if I am bring in Trevor otherwise, walk Pujols and take your chances with Rolen which would be good right now as of late.

GO BREW CREW! 2-0 is a good start!

A loss for the Cards tonight is HUUUUUUGE. It ends the Pujols Homer Momentum and allows us to match whatever they do over the weekend and still have chance with that SF game (although I don't want to depend on that game for a STL loss).

    Let's go Brew Crew

If you watch the Cards broadcasts, you can sense the animosity between Hrabosky and Dan Mclaughlin (esp. contrasted to when Hungo does games with Joe Buck).

McLaughlin isn't afraid to call out the orgnaization, or question Tony's moves... but Hungo often looks down at him from his pedastal, and makes some sort of snyde comeback indicating how he never "played the game" or something like that.

Santo is just a big dumb teddy-bear... nobody really takes him seriously, thus his antics are somewhat tolerable because you know he's just a big overgrown fan loving the game.

Hungo, on the other hand, is sarcastic, non-respectful, and he thinks he's smarter then everybody actually expects to be taken seriously (huge diff. b/t santo)... the biggest measure of this is the fact that virtually NONE of the die-hard Cards fans that I know like him at all. He's a laughing stock.

Yeah Davis... just walk Preston freaking Wilson, and threaten to walk So Taguchi.

Its only Pujols next... that's all.

C'mon Doug, dont give Pujols and the Crapholes any momentum here. Keep them scratching their collective heads. :D

How did Preston get a walk anyway?  Yikes, stop the presses. Preston was actually patient?

Now, he pitches to Pujols (gets him out).... but is nowhere close to the "dangerous" Juan Encarnacion.

Davis is going to be his own worst enemy tonight... now he doesn't even look at Wilson and allows him to walk to third (and the resulting double steal).

Hrabosky now showing no respect to the Milwaukee organization... but that's okay, they seem to be doing just fine without it.

    3-0 Brew-Crew!

    Boo-birds for Marquis.
