    I cant wait!!!!
    GO STROS

I have a really good feeling about this season for some reason. Our bullpen definitely needs some work, but I think we'll find ourselves in contention come September time.

This ump isn't giving the corners AT ALL!

EDIT: And the first HR is the pop-fly Crawford box variety... how's that for a erie 2000 flashback.

    that was a homer?

he almost fell over and it looked like he barely punched it into the OF and yet it didn't just get to the crawford boxes but was pretty far up there. edmonds just continues his ownage of the astros.

and thank you everett for not making the play cleanly and getting us out of the inning.

MMP + a very windy day down here will do that.

I was suprised Oswalt didn't go ahead and challenge him with the fastball on one of the corners.

Also, the Everett play would have been a tough throw from where he was... Rolen runs well enough.

UGH!... now MMP takes away a for-sure 2B by Biggio.

It gives them a 3-run HR, and gives us a single on a screamer down the line. (which obviously led to the inning-ending DP)

    Home-field advantage?

I predict that Everett is dropped from leadoff to 6th or 7th within the month.

Scott is wearing #30 now... I hope the magic that he had wasn't just his jersey (his old # was 67).

Also, Oswalt is really pissed at this ump (Montague).

They're just really really good... and they are built perfectly for the regular season, w/ all big hitters and a solid bullpen.

That being said, they're due for a few more injuries here and there... last year, everything broke perfectly for them.

two dumb plays now... how the hell did Ensberg think he was going to get Eckstein on that play?

I know Everett probably thought he wasn't going to get Rolen at all... but Ensberg could have easily gunned out Pujols. So far, the Astros probably deserve to get schalacked this game.

I was thinking the same thing. 3-1 Red Birds.

I think Taveras will be leading off sooner rather then later.

This ump is driving me (and Roy) absolutely CRAZY.

I understand giving Pujols or Edmonds some of those calls, but Reggie freaking Sanders did not "lay off" that pitch... he just couldn't do a thing with it, so he kept that bat on his shoulder.
