    true nick.

BUt atleast 2 hits came DAMN near close to being HRs.

Scott and Biggio IIRC, had some HARD hits.

Pettite was awesome! He had under 80pitchers iirc. And qualls. . he looked damn good.

And like you said lights out lide.

I think most baseball fans know not to get too up or too down during the season... because it's a long one. Plus, Houston fans are known as b****ers so why should Astros fans be any different? I'm an old-school baseball fan and love every aspect of "small ball" so I love the look of our team right now.

Those hits got the pitch count on the pitchers up, and they also got us to the bullpen much sooner then we would have if we were 4 hit... they made all the difference in the world. A team doesn't need to hit a crapload of long balls to win the series, the 2002 Angels only had 152 home runs and the 2003 Marlins only had 157 home runs during their world series seasons... If they put the ball in play and stay aggressive on the bags they'll end up scoring a crapload more runs then people give them credit for.

Great Win by the Stros today ...

I am so happy that Andy was able to put out a performance like this tonight. If this team can build some confidence early, then we are going to be in good shape. Getting off to a fast start this season is going to be very important.

Lets take care of Junior and the Reds this weekend!

Hopefully you won't be seeing a bullpen as pitiful as the Mets was... they are just BAD!

Maybe Beltran will give up some of his money so they can acquire some bullpen talent.

I love small ball. If this team can pitch...it's gonna remind me of some of the early 90's teams. Gonna love it!

Ahh, thanks. I may try to have one of my buddies shoot a PP payment for me and I just pay them the cash... if I don't have it done by this weekend I'll snail mail it.
