Chad Qualls deserves some major love today... he pitched two innings, and made it look easy... and he ended up getting the win.

I'm pretty confident that he'll be a solid "bridge to Lidge".

I couldn't agree more. Lamb is a better bat than Ensberg any day of the week. Hitting is a priority for us at the moment w/o Berkman, and Lamb could do better in the cleanup than Ensberg.

Haha... no, I've actually heard this one before from other places.

But I honestly swear... I never ever ever heard "lights out"... I just randomly posted it when he got his first save last year against Pittsburgh, and we haven't looked back since.

Dude, go harrass some women or something. Being drunk and posting on the internet = geek-like.

I didn't catch the Chapelle reference, my bad.

15 hits people... 15 HITS! These guys all know how to hit, so stop freaking out already. Will they be the bash brothers, no but they'll be a helluva lot of fun to watch.

Yes... 15 hits... but 12 of them were SINGLES! ;). In reality, we only needed the walk, single, and Lamb's triple to win the game... the rest of the hits really didn't contribute much.

But, I think the team was pressing a lot these first two games. Hopefully, they'll take the day off and realize that they're no longer in the NLCS... and there are other teams in the league besides the Cardinals. (IOW... Morgan, Lane, and Bagwell will start driving the ball soon enough).

I'm more excited about the pitching today... Pettite was nailz (and he only threw 71 pitches for 6 innings of work), Qualls worked 2 perfect innings, and then we all know what Lidge can do.

Any time you can hold that lineup to just 1 run on only 4 hits... you've done a helluva job.
