Have you looked at how Gattis does as a catcher vs how he does as a strict DH?

Of course you haven't. Do it. I suggest Baseball Reference dot com.

Just playing devils advocate...I doubt it's ever been done, nor am I really for it...but what if we only started Kuechel at home? I wonder if the FO has considered this. It probably wouldn't work because his starts would be too erratic, but the sample size isn't small, and maybe we could pencil in an extra Kuechel start at home on a homestand that we otherwise wouldn't have. His ERA this year is 3.18 vs. 5.74. In 2015, it was (obviously) far more palatable at 1.46 v. 3.77.

The rest of this season is all about the future and Altuve's MVP. I'm not expecting the playoffs but if they miraculously make the playoffs it will be because of the youth and the dominance of Altuve.

They were just talking about Keuchel when he's in the stretch vs in the windup.

    Bases empty: .670 OPS
    Men on: .840 OPS

Maybe it's just me. Maybe he shouldn't be the DH. Right now he's the designated out.

If I could tell you what the hell is wrong with him I'd be a rich man.
