Wow, Nyjer Morgan is reckless. Mental issues apparently. I mean, he got thrown at twice but he just seems to have a screw loose with some of his recent antics.
Nyjer pulls an Artest :O, my guess is he's suspended for the rest of the season. That was probably the biggest fail I've seen this season.
He had that questionable play against the Cardinals a few days ago. Yesterday, he apparently took out the catcher and separated his shoulder but it wasn't clearly a dirty play. Then, he got thrown at twice tonight in retribution. One time was questionable. Twice seems clearly overboard. Having said that, they didn't throw at his head and I think it's Morgan's general attitude that is rubbing opposing players the wrong way. I'm just speculating here. After the bench-clearing brawl, Morgan did some Hulkamania stuff to the crowd which Barry Larkin was calling him out for on MLB TV. And Larkin was actually defending him to an extent for how he handled himself after being thrown at the first time. I also seem to remember a play earlier in the season where Morgan gave up on a ball in CF which he later apologized for. I'm not certain of that, either, but that's what I recall. Either way, you get the impression that Morgan isn't right mentally.
Haha... it was like tag team out there but Volstad never tagged Sanchez. He came out of nowhere with the clothesline.
Morgan went flying hahaha.... Are you watching Chapman?!? 104mph fastball with a devastating slider?!?
Chapman does look like he has a lethal fastball-slider combo. He'll be an interesting one to watch for sure. Hopefully he stays healthy.
Hah... I was posting about it at the same time. He certainly looks special. Let's see how things go for him over the next few years.
That was awesome, Morgan completely missed and Gaby took him out. Hopefully someone can make a .gif out of that, it was classic Chapman is the first pitcher I've seen who consistenly throws 102-104, over or under 1 year before he has Tommy John?
I'm going with over if they keep him in the pen next season but I have no idea what their plans are for him. I certainly wouldn't be shocked to see him end up wtih some kind of arm injury in the not so distant future.
Berkman doubles on his first pitch back from the DL, I think that trip to the DL really helped that knee.
Sweet... I didn't realize he was finally back. Hopefully he has some good ABs for them down the stretch here. I hate the Yankees but my desire to see Puma do well trumps that.
I would like to personally extend my thanks on behalf of the Reds organization to the Astros for Kicking Dirty Bird tushy! Reds up 8 games now thanks to yall!
