Difference between the Cards and Reds? Cards are 5-10 against us Reds are 7-2 against us We really are killing the Cardinals chances of winning the division.
i always seem to take the side of the guy everyone else is lambasting, so go morgan! i'd be pissed too if i was thrown at twice in the same game.
Not sure if the little guy has a complex or truly has a screw loose but he does tend to do some STRANGE things on the diamond. Going back to the St Louis series when he drilled the catcher for no reason at all, then running over the catcher Tuesday night when all he had to do was slide and they would have won the game and then last night with the stolen bases. At first, I didn't see an issue with stealing 2nd and 3rd but after thinking about it, I can see where the Marlins might have gotten mad over that. Either way, Gaby Sanchez might have become my new favorite non-Stro LOL.
Ah, but the silver lining...6 of those 9 were in April/May and only 3 were in late July. The Reds haven't seen our NEW pitching staff or the YOUNGSTROS in general!!!
Lee is among the major league leaders with 30 RBIs since July 28. Before last night's game: The consecutive shutouts the previous two nights marked the first time in 94 years that St. Louis had been blanked with three hits or fewer in back-to-back games. http://espn.go.com/mlb/recap?gameId=300901118&teams=st.-louis-cardinals-vs-houston-astros
His June & August have been more like his usual self. July, May, and April on the other hand were just plain awful.
Why would you say that? He's under contract for 2 more years, and if he's productive you play him. If we had real prospects at that position killing it in AAA, then maybe I'd agree with you, but right now I'd play Lee. He looks rejuvenated. And if the Astros want to finish .500 next year or better, Lee will have to be a big part of it.
Astros are not a playoff team in 2011 or 2012. And when they do return, Lee will not be on the team. The reason to play Lee is to facilitate a trade at some point. That assumes that Lee returns to form, not a guarantee next year or even next week. Bogusevic might be a big part of a future Astros playoff team, though I would not want to make that bet. The only way to know for sure is to play Bogusevic in the bigs.
A bit off topic but Michelle Beadle seems to like the Astros. Apparently David Letterman isn't a fan. <object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/wQRk6tSxATw?fs=1&hl=en_US&start=50"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/wQRk6tSxATw?fs=1&hl=en_US&start=50" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object>
I think Beadle's a Texas girl^^^. I know she went to UT and likes the Spurs so I suppose it was between the Astros and Rangers for her and she chose Houston.

She said both Rangers and Astros. Dave then said "How can anyone be an Astros fan" and "There are no Astros fans anymore." Better question Dave, how can anyone be a Rangers fan. They've won one playoff game in their history.
