It would be nice if Bourn can cut down on the SOs a little in the 2nd half. He's having a heck of year but it would be nice for him to convert a few more of those SOs into hits and walks.

ok its winning time folks! Val needs to step it up and get back to the type of closer that gets drilled in the head and keeps on pitching lights out!

Valverde needs to beware of the stolen base here... he is pretty easy to steal on.

Now, let's see if Pitt can end their 17-game losing streak to the Brewers.

WOW if we can go 4-2 on the homestand after splitting with the Dodgers we would be in prime position! NICE we may have a pennant race yet!

Did you guys hear that the Brewers traded for Felipe Lopez?

Pitching is their issue but this wasn't a bad move. It gives them a better leadoff option.

The team that scares me most in our division is still the Cubs. They have solid pitching and they've finally taken Soriano out of the leadoff spot. Aramis is getting back in form. If Dempster comes back healthy and Harden gets going, they will be tough down the stretch. Lilly is an end of the rotation guy for them and ended up at the AS game. He did get roughed up pretty good tonight though.

The Cubs don't scare me one bit....They're bound to choke sometime, and look at how they got whooped tonight vs the Phillies 10-1

Astros' lineup should scare opposing pitchers. If Bourn and Matsui can consistently get on base through Aug. and Sept. WATCH OUT! Berkman is starting to get hot and Tejada is looking like a free-swinging Tony Gwynn. I expect a slew of upcoming homeruns from Lee during a torrid stretch by the 'Stros. Time to sweep the Cards and take out the Mets.
