Excellent start by Mo... even though Ortiz was just as effective, I still appreciated this start more. Maybe I feel that Ortiz is more smoke and mirrors... maybe they both are... but his command was very good tonight.
Wright is our only pitcher with an ERA above 4.92. Most staffs have at least 2 or 3 guys in the 5's or higher.
Coop must be inspired by LaRussa tonight. Totally playing the bullpen matchup game, and ready to bust out the 7th, 8th, and 9th inning specialists.
Need to get a run of some of kind here... but at least Pujols can't beat us right now (he can merely tie us).
We need to scratch out a few more runs...if we can win tonight with Wandy and Roy going the next two night we should take 2 or 3...I think I might head out for the Wensday game just to good of a matchup to pass up!
I think so...Pence is getting a solid dosage of offspeed junk. Its all about adjustments so Pence just needs to hit the cage and make his adjustment!
As much as I hate the Red Birds they do hustle and almost all there players give everything thay have...ITS ANNOYING!
Pence has always been fed those sliders away..the only thing is when his average starts climbing it's because he's doing a better job of laying off those sliders or taking them the other way, instead of swinging and missing. Now he's not seeing those pitches as well, which is leading to more strike outs and weakly pulled ground balls to the left side of the infield.
