Exactly. And besides that, I would rather trust the doctors in doing what's best for him than Lance himself. Even if he felt like he could play, it may not be wise to let him. The coming weeks could be make or break for this team, but then so could the weeks after that. If he plays and his injury gets worse, well he might not be any good to the team for a month instead of a few weeks.

This isn't game 7 of the NLCS or something...we're still in the dog days of Summer.

I don't really remember the temperature to be honest. I was wrapped up in the game. My aunt was in her 60s so that may have been a factor. They may have also just been bored or something. Even if the roof was closed, I do remember it being fairly warm where we were sitting and I don't think you could even by cold drinks at that point to cool off at your seats.

As far as Puma going on the DL, that sucks but a lot of teams have had it just as bad or worse.

Look at the Cubs with Ramirez, Dempster, Soto.

The Cardinals have been w/out Glaus all year and Carpenter missed some starts.

    The Mets.

The Reds have been without Volquez and Votto for much of the year. That's their Roy and Lance. Bruce is on the DL now.

The Dodgers didn't have Manny for 50 games.

I know we lost Valverde and Matsui for stretches and that we are a team on the cusp so losing Berkman hurts but the fact is it could have been worse.

The Mets are cursed with injuries. We're just a man short.

I think we can very easily sweep the Mets with all there injuries but probably 2 out of 3 may be more realistic...Its the Cubs and Cards next week that have me worried!

What a fantastic game. What is really beginning to sting is the games this team has given away. Just think, they have blown close to half a dozen games.

And they've probably won a half a dozen games that the other team blew.
