No... decisions are based on situations, players involved, and the score of the game... every single time. Would LaRussa (or I guess you meant Oquendo, since LaRussa hasn't coached 3rd base since ever) have sent Yadier Molina on that play? No. Hell, LaRussa will be the first one to call you an idiot by saying that baseball decisions are based upon feel and personality types. So yes, every single baseball manager should have stopped him there, and if they didn't, they would have made the wrong decision... even if he ultimately is safe. Just because he's safe doesn't make it the "aggressive" right decision. It makes you lucky.... and that's stupid managing.
2 reasons.... Phillies and Dodgers have WAY more to offer Drayton wont do it after getting killed by everyone for letting the farm go to dirt Id love it but no way unless we do a RJohnson and sneak in at the last minute. Garland is having a so so year but there is someone like Wolf last year who needs a change of venue and wont be nearly as expensive.
Fine but it was a bannable offense, and kids are reading here. You have to actually TYPE in a curse word, it is not allowed in chat, it should not be allowed on the BBS.....seriously you are better than that. DD
Brings a smile to my face! http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/recap...ss&source=twitter&ex_cid=Twitter_espn_4349465
No, really, I'm not. Neither are you, but I'm glad it makes you feel superior to think so. Take it up with management.
Doug Mansolino would probably have sent him. And Doug Mansolino isn't the 3rd base coach for the 'Stros anymore.
that's not even true. they have an infinitely deeper farm, but there is no way that halladay would fetch a better package than say (for arguments sake) norris, castro, and lyles. you just have to be willing to bite the bullet and set back our farm system a little more.
This is why baseball will always be my first love. What a game!!! I'm going to see the Astros stick it to Johan Santana on Friday. And the kids are excited to go get a Lil' Puma webkins. Minute Maid will be rockin'.
Nah, good people can disagree...it is what being a fan is all about. Questioning management decisions is as old as the game itself. DD
I would've loved to see Wandy going against Johan. Two lefties having nearly identically strong seasons.
Sorry but I have to disagree...those farm systems are LOADED! The Stros are getting better but there top prospects are all AA to High A while alot of there prospects are at AA and AAA...
Anyone hear about Tony Bernazard (Mets VP of player development) challenging the AA team to a fight? He even took his shirt off and was asking for it. Now I've heard that he got into a heated discussion with K-Rod in Atlanta.
i'm not disagreeing that they are loaded, i'm just saying that just because they are loaded, doesn't mean they are willing to offer up a better package than us, despite how little we have.
