Anyone else pleasantly delighted (like me) that the OTA broadcast is in HD? It's amazing what happens when you stop broadcasting on a station that gets outperformed by a schmuck with a pirate television station. At this rate, we'll see all of the games in HD next year.
Ok, that's a scoreless innings from Borkowki. Borders on a miracle. We have to get something going now.
It's like we can never score a few runs and get some momentum with out immediately give a few right back.
Pujols is apparently exacting his revenge per the Brandon Backe confrontation today. If you didn't read about it, then Pujols confronted Backe after Backe supposedly was pressing the Pujols slide into Towles issue...for which Pujols called over to our lockerroom and apologized for sliding into Towles versus the base. Backe said he felt "violated" by the confrontation. lol I'm going to start calling the Astros the Lastros. They can get their name back when they quit coming up short and get out of last place.
This is Backe's fault. Dammit! He should have just sucked it up instead of being a wuss about a slide. Now, Pujols wants to murder the Astros and is fired up. As for the Astros, the relief pitching sucks ass. I have zero confidence they can hold any lead at this point. It's just not going well. Maybe they need a team meeting or something? Terrible start.
I'd like to say a rally at the bottom of the 9th might inspire them and turn things around but we've done that once already this season and they carried zero momentum into the next game.
one of these years some manager is going to be in our organization who won't pitch to pujols. i can feel it. and yes, i know nobody was on for either hr. and no, that does not matter.
