It looks like he is making less contact this year than last year. He is striking out at a higher rate this season. Too early to draw conclusions, either way.

Nieve threw 5 scoreless last night for Round Rock.

We're starting to smoke the ball.

I love the Tejada pick up..I wish it happened three years ago, though.

    Pence just isn't right.

I really hope he gets plenty of rope and can turn it around without having to go down to the minors.

Was at the game yesterday and he looked absolutely horrible at the plate. Seemed to be ahead on every pitch.

Really hope he gets out of this slump soon, cause he was sure exciting to watch last year. But it's not like Berkman, where you can draw on 6-7 years of experience and claim he's gonna be fine. Pence has only played one season, and it wasn't a full season at that.

That was some nice defence. Did they say earlier we lead the league in double plays too? Gotta be loving this team more and more in these early stages imo.

How difficult can it be to lay off pitch after pitch in the dirt? Geez.

So our starting pitchers continue to pitch well enough to win, but our lineup continues to be fairly anemic. I hope this doesn't happen, but I wouldn't be surprised if/when the offense does show up on a consistent basis, our starting pitchers will start to suck. Seems that's been the way things have gone the past few years...the team just can't seem to click all at one time.
