So White's back on the DL with a pinched nerve in his neck and Munson had his contract purchased from Round Rock. He's starting today so maybe (hopefully) he can get some pop going and replace Ausmus regularly.

First time I've actually been able to watch lidge since he began to pitch well. It's one thing to see the box scores of lidge pitching well, but to see that on a tv broadcast put a giant smile on my face. The fastball pinpoint control, even the vintage slider in the dirt - perfectly placed - to end the game.

That being said, the whole team still blows goat balls, but eh, a nice way to go into a saturday evening. :)

Munson earning another start today after managing Sampson's gem yesterday.... but he may want to stop calling for those 0-2 sinkers right down the middle.

Jennings is lucky its not 2-0... Pujols hit a 430 foot blast that Hunter caught on the hill.

you know, i "think" ausmus' excuse for an arm and .236 batting average might just factor in to munson getting a few starts.

Munson won't be catching Jennings the next time out... waaay too many hard hit balls, little adjustments being made, and JJ is lucky to only be down 2-0.

Jennings is not a rookie...if he thinks he should be varying his approach to the hitters he has the option of shaking Munson off.

And if a catcher recognizes that his pitcher is being tatooed, he needs to make a visit and work on the adjustments.

Even Munson's "tremendous offense" isn't going to keep this game close if Jennings keeps this up.

lol...are you seriously blaming this game on munson? i guess munson won yesterday's game then.

it blows my mind (going on 4 years now), that some of you STILL think ausmus isnt an insult to the game.

No... but the blame shouldn't be put entirely on Jennings either. Somebody needed to get out there and settle him down after the multiple fly balls that could have been HR's at other parks (as well as HR's).

Not recognizing when a pitcher is making mistakes is a problem... we're lucky that Jennings was able to keep it at just 4-0.
