The announcers don't even know what to say right now... and Cheo didn't do us any favors.

At this point, winning this game shouldn't do anything (confidence-wise) for the Astros, Cardinals, or anybody else... Lidge might as well take all his frustrations out by hititng guys (oh wait...).

and good job by cruz to point out to the ump that oswalt missed the bag. and lidge will never ever get eckstein out it appears. hitting him might've been the best thing.

Hide the women and children outside the ballpark... one of these may just break the window.

Talk about a 180 from a year ago when these two teams faced each other. It's still close, but for different reason.

And Pujol's in for the victory and the final dagger to Lidge?

For Lidge's sanity, I hope he gets Pujols out. We all know he'll blow the game. But just get Pujols out.

wait a second, lidge got pujols to pop out, taveras actually caught it, and we didn't somehow let eckstein tag up? what happened.

Actually, he owns Rolen... if he gets Pujols out, the inning should start looking up (a big if, though).

    EDIT: wow...

Oh man that was close. If Lidge can get out of this maybe it will be a confidence booster.

Look at Munson catch those sliders in the dirt; Ausmus is so fluid, it's like second nature for him.

Further evidence that its a confidence issue... Lidge looks like a totally different pitcher against hitters he knows he owns (like Rolen).

Now he has to worry about that 'dangerous' Aaron Miles.
