yep, but at least he didn't gidp. how about going the other way preston. pujols would've knocked that into RF for the win.

our situational hitting comes back to haunt us. all we needed was a ball to the outfield and wilson couldn't even make contact. and lane is now up. nuff said.

I actually like Lane in this spot here... he at least presents the threat of drawing a walk.

Well, apparently that pitch right in his wheelhouse wasn't good enough to offer at.

what's even funnier is the verse of the song that they play:

"caller gettin laid tonight, swisher rolled tight gotta spray my ice."

    nice family friendly lyrics.

Making Braden freaking Looper look like a fireballer... this game is a battle of futility.

Put Wilson and Lane in some kind of package deal. Their clutch rating combined.... 0

The Cards have the same problem with Encarcion, Miles/Luna, and whoever is playing the other OF spot (Taguchi, Rodriguez, Spezio)... why don't we just combine the best of both teams, and go head-to-head with the Mets and the AL.

Lane smoked one ball and then strikes out in complete wussy-like fashion. Frustrating game. Edmonds will probably park one here...

Bases jacked with one out and they can't even get a flyball at home with the middle of the order.

On second thought, that team may just give the White Sox, Red Sox, Yankees, or even Detroit a decent series... but it still wouldn't guarantee anything.

    Eckstein -SS
    Biggio - 2B
    Pujols - 1B
    Berkman - RF
    Rolen - 3B
    Edmonds - CF
    Burke - LF
    Molina/Ausmus - C

    Bench - Lamb, Rodriguez, Spezio.
SP's - Carpenter, Oswalt, Clemens, Pettite.
Closer - Who knows... who cares.
