I hate Jim Edmonds, he's the ultimate Astro killer.

He actually hadn't done much to us since 2004... that's a nice 1 year break.

Bases loaded with no one out and Ensberg up to bat.

After this at-bat, we'll have no runs scored and 2 outs if not 3.

You got the outs right... but I don't know what kind of fuzzy math you were using for the runs, considering that they weren't playing the infield in (ie - no outs at home).

At least give me credit for the "2 outs if not 3." :)

Ensberg does not look confident at all right now. Least he got 1 run in.

To give Ensberg credit, he did hit that ball hard.

Has Lidge faced Pujols in a save situation yet this year; could be an intriguing matchup.

Yes, he did... got him to fly out DEEP to CF in the first game we played them at MMP this year.

I really think we're the only ones who still care about that blast... none of the players care, and the rest of baseball is indifferent (especially Cardinals fans, who still recognize that they lost the series).

Berkman is so sleak and agile in the outfield. He's like a puma.

What happened to JD? Greg Lucas is a little too "campy".

i loved the ensberg DP with the bases loaded.

we're such a ****ing joke of a situational hitting team. in fact, over the last decade i can't imagine any team that has been worse than us. their may have been more anemic offenses who just don't get the chances we do, but no one blows a great opportunity quite like a houston astros squad.

2nd and 3rd and no outs and i'm just hoping we get one run home. i'm actually disappointed that we walked to set up bases loaded and no outs. that should be a great opportunity and yet all i worry about is if we'll at least get one home. to ensberg's credit he didn't hit into a triple play or at least kept them from throwing home to 1st for the DP, but man we suck. and we sucked all of last night. and all of the last playoffs. and all of the last decade.

bases loaded and no outs should be fun, instead my friends and i just make bets as to how we'll get out of it with no runs. man we can be frustrating to watch.

I don't really care in the sense that Lidge needs to overcome his demons or some BS...it's just a good matchup. He got the better of Pujols in '04, inducing him to whiff at some nasty sliders in the NLCS, then Pujols beat him last season with that blast. It's just a great matchup to see.

    like i said, we're a joke.

maybe the cardinals should win on a two out single in the 9th with runners and 2nd and 3rd just to show us how it's done.

edit: and yes great job by the braves to give up an amazing 5 in the 9th (5 in the 9th!!!) to tie the game. just what we need.

Good thing you're not a St. Louis fan right now... have you seen what kind of baseball they've been playing over the last 2 weeks?
