Hard to get out of a funk when you're relegated to playing every 3 or 4 days like Lane is.

I think Josh is about to wet his pants he's so excited that his foreshadowing with FOX came to fruition...is FOX ever gonna freaking stop messing with the mojo by awarding the player of the game before it's over?

Both teams deserve to lose... and both teams will be sitting and watching another team (possibly the Brewers, with Sheets coming back) in the playoffs if they don't start getting their collective asses in gear.

I think a loss today and tomorrow might actually be good for us for the long-term...instead of Pup feeding us a bunch of BS about how the current cast of characters is fine, he will have to answer dome tough questions about a team 6 back and 3 under .500.

Lidge needs to see a shrink, his confidence is so shallow right now, any adversity and falls apart....consistently.

2 outs in the 9th, and no one on base and he goes down like a $3 hooker.

Lidge choked today but you can't absolve the rest of the team:

Lamb gave the Cardinals two runs with his error.

Ensberg cost us at least two runs by choking in key at bats.

Wilson cost us a run with his GIDP.

Roy came into a tie game and didn't get the job done.

I think the thing that annoys me the most is that they brought in Roy to pitch extra innings and he ended up getting the loss. Granted, it was his fault, but he's just had nothing going for him his last couple of starts and now this.

Easy Eddie isn't that great anymore... the Reds GM is still living in the past, when he was the assistant in Minnesota.

All of the NL Central teams have major problems... whoever makes it will be the best of the worst.

Horrible loss, and with Carpenter going tomorrow we have gone in the wrong direction at the wrong time.

I'm ****ing sick of using Lidge in save situations because he almost always looks horrible even when he gets the job done. He doesn't deserve that role on the team right now ... the sad thing is that I don't know anyone else that really deserves it either.

And as for Ensberg, all he has done since May is bat like a bad 8th hitter and make errors from 3rd base. I don't believe for a second that he is healthy and I think we should shut him down for several weeks regardless of what he says because hes proven before that he will lie about his status just to play even though he hurts the team. I don't understand how Garner can even thinkn about putting him in the 3 spot. Rediculous.

nice defeatist "it's not just us, it's them too" attitude.

lidge has no business being a major league closer. none. period. call up whoever, doesn't even matter at this point - they cant fare any worse than lidge.

i will boo him everytime he comes in to pitch, and garner too.

He can still get outs, and the Reds can still score. And the Reds winning the division was my bold prediction, dont make me bring out my Harrang picture again.

I'd be up for trying Nieve out as closer.
