I was really pulling for him there. The troubling thing is is Garner will probably still keep him in the 3rd spot after todays miserable performance.

Nah... even Garner isn't that asinine.

He knows when his players are pressing (like when Lane and Willy were doing it earlier in the year)... he won't give Ensberg that many more chacnes, and will likely have Burke back up at the top to face Carpenter tommorow.

Ensberg should be hitting 9th in the lineup.

Just think about how many MORE RBI's he could have had, if he didn't have Taveras batting in front of him the first 2 months of the season, or now didn't have incompetencies in Ensberg and Lane on occasion.

Did I hear that right? Ausmus is 1 for his last 46???? What a f*cking loser. And Adam Everett couldn't get a hit to save his life.

What is wrong with Morgan? Ausmus has always stunk, but Ensberg? Is he going Hidalgo on us?

Anyone else worried here about Lidge?

    :)

Thank goodness Larussa wasn't smart enought to use Spezio on Friday... that guy is a solid hitter.

    Eckstein now....great.....

Lidge again screwing up location.......wtf is wrong with this guy, why are his fastballs belt high this year instead of at the knees?

No one is going to swing at the slider when it is 3 feet in front of the plate in the dirt.

I'm giving Spezio some major credit... Lidge threw a first pitch 96 mph fastball to a guy who hadn't had an AB in 3+ days... and he made the contact he needed to.

Now, Lidge not retiring Duncan his all on him. Now he has to deal with the pest who helped to start the downfall of game 5.

3-2 on Eckstein, could Lidge be dumb enough to walk him?

    FARK !!!

Lidge is simply scary as a closer, he just hurts himself far too often...walks walks walks......

Lidge needs a 3rd pitch..something off speed to get them off his fastball.

Let him master control of the two pitches he has... then he can start working on a third pitch.
