I didn't get to watch the game as my TIVO recorded the CBS game instead of Fox. I didn't realize it till it was too late. Texans usually play on CBS.

Very good chance he could make the pro bowl this year. Vanden Bosch got 3 sacks for the Titans today, closing in on Mario. But, with the sack, Mario is 2nd in the AFC among DE with 9.5.

The defense played really well today. Mario had good pressure on the qb several times that made him hurry his throw, resulting in an inc. Demps played really well, too. That guy loves to hit. Caused a fumble that lead to a touchdown. Another nice game by Bennett, also. Greenwood had a sack and a couple of hurries.

Offensively, Sage completed a lot of short passes and controlled the ball, since running game was barely adequate. Walker got quite a few carries and did okay, but I sure don't see the speed for him to ever be anything out of the ordinary. Pitts got dinged and had to leave the game for a few plays. They moved Winston to left guard and put Butler at right tackle. Boy, Black must be the worst signing of Kubiak's tenure. The guy can't even get in when there are multiple injuries to the OL.

I was really suprised the patchwork OL held up as well as it did. Tampa Bay is supposed to have a very good defense, other than containing the run somewhat, didn't handle the Texans OL.

    Great game, Texans!

Thursday is basically the closest to a Playoff game the Texans have ever played.

Both teams 6-7, a loss all but eliminates them from contention...

    Let's go Texans.

Boo Cleveland. Let's hope they lose out and we win out somehow. :p

Salaam getting abused is sadly becoming a weekly occurrence. Something needs to happen at that position this offseason.

The Texans better address the O-Line this offseason either through the draft or free agency. I am not sure who is available in the free agent market on the O-Line. The O-Line has been a problem since day one of this franchise. They need to do something. They will never become a legit playoff team without addressing this need.

The Texans are one of four teams still in the AFC playoff race.

Four plus the two WC leaders. So really it's a 6 team race and the Texans have a lot of teams to leapfrog. It's still good to see the Texans listed in the "Still in the race" category in December.

Wouldn't getting an impact running back help bigtime?

Still say they should have given Sage a try before signing Schaub
[could have used those picks on linemen]

Good point...Schaub is an upgrade over Sage, but not by very much...having the picks on lineman would have likely been a differance this year.

Not so sure about that. Schaub still seems more polished to me. Sage's arm looks stronger.

Remember Shaub is 3 years younger too.

Schaub seems to have a problem taking a good lick...hope this year is a fluke, but if he continues to miss games here and there, then we will look back on the trade and contract and say it was a big mistake.

I'd rather have Schaub over Carr. Schaub is a pansy compared to Carr though, but Schaub is still the better QB (by a mile).

    In this ESPN recap: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/recap?gameId=271209034

It says we were playing with a backup left guard and that Pitts is playing at RG, is that really true? I haven't been paying apt attention recently but I never would have guessed he would switch sides on the line. He played left tackle and guard for a long time.
