My favorite Texan...DeMeco. I'm thrilled he has the most rookie tackles in 20 years. I couldn't care less about Carr winning.... BUT...I'm very very happy for defensive players like DeMeco Ryans, Demarcus Faggins, Dunta Robinson, Mario Williams & Antwan Peek. Offensively, I'm happy for Chester Pitts, Steve McKinney, Chris Taylor, Andre Johnson, Ron Dayne, Kris Brown, Sage Rosenfels & Charles Spencer. Nice job to Coach Kubiak.....from 2-14 to 6-10 with a bum quarterback!!!!
Oh there was definitely improvement - you can see that in the defense and the points allowed for the season. But it wasn't an amazing improvement of going from something like 2-14 to 8-8. It was about the 3 game improvement that you see in the standings, and less if anything. Not bad, but in a league with so much parity and ability to improve so much in a year, it's not exactly "wow".
Well, at least this team is improving. The defense looked good today. And....we have won 4 more games than last season. That's a good start.
The defense has been a huge bright spot this season - and you could see it improve over the course of the season which is a huge plus. (unlike the offense, which actually regressed and should be a huge concern) It's not a championship caliber defense by any stretch, but it's a defense that could be an above "0.500 team" type defense if it had a similar level offense. That's pretty impressive given how terrible it was last year (also made worse by the terrible offense).
God. People have bragged on the radio a dozen times about the Texans "tripling their win total from last season." Big deal. The fact that some people are actually pointing to a 6-10 record as a positive shows how pathetic this franchise is.
The defense has a solid foundation, we need playmakers, which could be had in free agency. Adalius Thomas, Asante Samuel, Nate Clements.
Hey Aces, Kudos to your Cowgirls today. What a clutch epic performance! Y'all lost to Lions in Dallas today, un-freakin-believable! Yeah triple the win whoopie. This franchise has been so down they can only go one way, but yeah you're right. Blablabla!
That doesnt even merit argument. Head to head it's a Romo landslide. Just saying what happened to y'alls secondary. I mean Jon Kitna? He's usually the MVP for the opposition. The only thing other than the psychological aspect for the Texans is once again Carr contributes pretty much nothing toward the victory. But yeah, Carr sucks the big one, the little one, the inbetween one, the before dinner snack, the after dinner dessert and the seven course meal of suckiness. That about sums it up in a nutshell.
It is a positive from last season, moron. If we do it again we will have a 10 win season. And I think we might just do that.
I'm 95% sure he's not going anywhere. He may not play next season but more than likely, he'll still be on the team.
