That's dumb. Winning this game could mean the difference in drafting several spots higher. Beating the Browns no more makes us winners than beating the Raiders did. Losing means we get a better chance at getting a special player in the draft. Winning means what? We're winners! Woweee... :)

OK, so a radio station gave him player of the game, which many times isn't really indicitive of who played the best game. Even so, that doesn't mean he gets all the credit. Do you think FSNH gave Shane Battier complete credit for the win against the Nets last night because they gave him player of the game? Only a hater would say that.

I read the entire coverage of the game in the Chronicle and, while they praised the game Carr played (and it probably was close to flawless), they in no way gave him complete credit for the win. Not even close.

I understand where you're coming from, but I want the Texans to beat the damn Browns. And the Chargers, too, for that matter. And, I want a 6-10 season; call me greedy.

I know lower picks aren't as sexy as higher ones, but at this point I'd be pretty excited to have Jay Cutler (#11) or Matt Leinart (#10).

I agree, I just understand the frustration. Guys like me have defended Carr tooth-and-nail all season long, and he just never lived up to the billing. He really *does* suck. He really *is* nothing more than a game manager.

I'm still against gratuitous b****ing and moaning, but I at least see where they're coming from. (And I understand that if DC is gone next year, they'll find a new whipping boy.)

I agree with the first part of this quote, but if you're against gratuitous b****ing and moaning, then you should be blasting this as well. No one, not one person in the entire world, has given David Carr complete credit for the win. No one. Anyone claiming that is a moron and simply looking for another reason to b**** about David Carr even after a win.

But you're only the one that's used the word "complete" (3 times, once bolded). No one else ever complained that Carr got complete credit for the win.

You're right, but they did complain that he would get credit for it, which is absurd.

Guys, guys, guys...arguing whether or not David Carr got "credit" for a meaningless victory won't accomplish anything. Let's all talk about something that everybody can agree on...Vince Young is AWESOME! Go Vince!

No thanks. I'm sick of VY/DC talk. This year, only one of them is a Texan. Next year, perhaps neither will be.

I'd like to talk about the Texans, personally.

    Go Texans.

But don't you get it? Bob McNair personally offended all these VYOFs who believe that the actual owner of a team has no say in what players are picked. Only hysterical crybabies should have a say into what players are picked by this franchise. I also heard a rumor that he also pissed in their Cheerios after sodomizing their mothers as well. Oh yeah, he's also a racist.

I can see where you are coming from but at some point this team has to start getting some wins and quit relying on excuses for losing. I'd like to see them take a 2 game win streak into the offseason. Hopefully it will carry over to next year.

I agree with you the at some point this team has start getting some wins but I just don't think that should be in the last game of a lost season against a bad team. I loved beating Indy because that means something. I don't see how beating the Browns means anything. A 2 game win streak is fool's gold IMHO.

It means you didn't lose to a POS team.

Not in light of the history of this franchise, it isn't.

If they win, they'll match what I said they would and finish with 6 wins.

But something tells me they're not gonna win. That the Browns are gonna key on Dayne and force Carr to beat them in the air. That we will have a bit of a letdown emotionally after beating the Colts last week.

First off there is no such thing as a gaurantee on draft day, second this team needs to learn how to win. Last Sunday was a great step in that direction IMO.

Fans who want their teams to tank so that they can draft higher are stupid. Now if your talking about the number one pick ie. last season vs San Fran than that's one thing but come on the difference between 6 and 10 or whatever it is that's stupid IMO.

Go Texans and lets make Houston proud!

Beating the Browns at home on the last day of a trashed season is going to teach this team how to win? What fans are stupid again? Yeah, thanks.

Good grief, neither fan is "stupid" for taking whatever position.

Again, the #9-11 pick in the draft isn't always such a bad thing.

    Signed,
    The Denver Broncos
    The Arizona Cardinals

Keep in mind the Browns are starting their 3rd string QB. Both Frye and Anderson are out with injuries, so they are down to Dorsey. That makes the QB position even. :D

I don't really care about draft position, it's about getting Carr the hell off of this team. If we win and Carr plays terrible, great. The #7 or 9 or 10 pick woud be fine with me. I'd love to have JaMarcus Russell or Troy Smith or Marshawn Lynch, we'd be out of Peterson range, but oh well.
