    God, I sure hope so.

Well 6-10 is definately an improvement from last year. Not bad for the first year under a new coach.

No way Carr is on the team and not starting. You don't get paid what he gets paid to sit on the bench.Either he is gone or starting...

Remember the team tanked last season.

6-10 is still under .500 and having been around as long as the Texans have without a +.500 season is unacceptable.

Two things: 6-10 is not positive when you had the number one pick in the league and a 5th year QB running the show with receivers like AJ and Moulds.

Also, if the Texans tripled their win total, they'd be at 18 wins, not 10. I know you mean a 4 win increase but you replied to a post talking about tripling a win total from last year. Unless the Texans make drastic changes, they will still finish under .500 next year. If you finish 6-10, you aren't supposed to celebrate or talk about "turning the corner."

How do you figure? 2 wins multiplied by 3 = 6.

Dude, winning 6 games when you won 2 the previous year and had the number one pick is an improvement, any way you put it.

6-10 for a new coach, new staff, new system, etc isn't that bad at all. The current folks in charge (coach and GM) weren't here the first 4 years so what happened then really isn't their fault. They took a 2 win team and made a 4 game improvement.

177 yards on offense against Cleveland league "leading" defense at home. P-a-t-h-e-t-i-c.

I'm sorry, but why would anyone be happy about this win.

First of all, the texans scored ZERO points, against a mediocre to bad cleveland D in the 1st half. The browns mustered a fg right before the half, big freakin deal. Second, so you beat a team that sucks and is playing for draft position 14-6 and couldn't score on them in the 1st half. Not impressive.

3rd the win dropped the texans to the 8th pick. Right outside the range of all the top prospects. So for winning a meaningless game, in not good fashion, they went from possibly the 4th pick to the 8th. Which is a big deal in the draft. I can see being happy with the colts win even though it hurt draft position, but this performance was laughable by either team and the texans lost 3-4 draft slots by winning it.

2007 Free Agents are going to factor in how good your team is and how far your team can go next year when deciding where they want to play...Going from 2 wins to 6 wins becomes a nice selling point. The Texans biggest impact players are going to come from the fa pool not the draft. It's not a strong draft.

We won two home games in a row for the first time ever. We improved over last year's record by 4 wins. We ended the year on the right note. It gives our team some confidence that they CAN win, and that they're not a bunch of sore losers.

I really am sick and tired of you "home run or bust" whiners. Tanking is for losers. Screw losers, screw losing. I wanted a W, and thank you Texans for giving us fans a W to celebrate about. Losers get the top draft picks. Every year teams score great drafts with low draft picks -- just ask the Colts, Patriots and Broncos last year. I'm tired of you people who think a #1 draft pick every year is the answer. The answer to the Texans problems is NOT a high draft pick. The answer is good coaching, good personnel management (and that includes free-agent signings) and a new team attitude. You don't become a superbowl contender overnight. This stupid idealistic thinking that "if we can get the #1 pick two or three years in a row, we'll become automatic contenders" is just that -- stupid.

I'm happy with the win. And in my opinion, anyone who wants to berate me for being happy with my Texans winning can go impale themselves with a pitchfork.

No kidding. The Texans aren't going to win the Superbowl next year, so perhaps they should just go ahead and tank all of 2007. In the main Rockets forum, there's too much of this stuff too. Can't win it all, so why bother at all?

A 6-10 record is for losers.

As of this point in time, losing is all the Texans fans have known. I guess we have graduated to respectable losing somewhat. We were just restricted this year because 2/3 of our roster sucks. Thanks to ConMan Charlie, resident dumbass extraordinaire! Most of them should be stocking shelves at Krogers because they have NO game!

I would much rather the team win a game like this than lose it. They won....get over it and move on.

    Because we're tired of losing?

This isn't college football. We're not trying to impress a computer or a bunch of other coaches. A win is a win.

In one of the worst drafts in a while. We're still going to get a good player with the 8th pick. And if last years late round picks are an indicator of how are drafts are going to be from now on, I'm fine with the 8th pick.

We've tried tanking for 4 years now and look where it's gotten us. Besides, why do you care anyway? You're a titan fan. Don't be mad just because you guys missed the playoffs.
