Hunter isn't good enough to be in the rotation. I know they are currently going with a 6 man rotation but he's just not good enough. Have to hope for 5 plus when he pitches.
You have a fresh bullpen. You have a shaky starter. You pull him after 3 or the very least when he finds himself in trouble in the 4th. Espada needs to be better than this.
First 2 innings - getting ahead of hitters, limit pitches thrown. Next 2 innings - deep counts, losing them giving up walks and bad things happen
I swear Hunter Brown keeps making the same mistakes over and over. Can't find the zone leading to easy walks and then attempts to overcorrect by leaving meatballs over the plate which get demolished. Like @Nook said, he's not Major League material right now.
I've been calling for this since middle of last season. He does not have enough quality pitches to start. He could survive as a 1 inning relief pitcher.
