This has been the pattern all season. Happ's pc 33 after 1. Will we get 3, maybe 4 out of Happ? Then we have to pitch 5, 6 innings with relievers? Then we go into the next 2 games with the relief staff already spent making up Happ's missed innings. Kinda sets the dominos in motion against us for the whole series.

 

meh Lee should be charged with the error, the throw was low but completely catch able.

 

Barmes didn't make the best throw, but Lee could have and should have gloved it.

Can't believe we didn't trade Barmes. There had to be interest. One B prospect would've been great. Not sure why they want him for his intangibles when we have Carlos Lee providing more than enough of that.

 

The Pirates are in a major tailspin. I'm not surprised at all. All signs pointed to this. Their pitchers were severely overachieving (lowest K-rate in the NL) and their offense was near the bottom of the NL in most categories.
