Lidge been improving lately have confidence in him.

We have to score a lot of runs against the Mets and stop Jose Reyes/Beltran

    Nice win.

If they can take 2 of 3 to the Met's they'll be back at .500.

Can't say they aren't trying. Great win! Now if San Diego could just lose a few.

Weird non-comment on the Biggio 2 run jack.

Biggio dominates in MMP, great game tonight.

Somebody sacrifice a live chicken to Joboo because Wandy pitches against Glavine tomorrow. Maybe the good Wandy will show up. I've seen the good Wandy pitch, it does exist, it is just elusive.

Actually Wandy is pretty consistent with his pitching... it is consistently mediocre.

He's pretty much always decent to start the game (minus 2 HORRID starts against Cincy and San Fran). But, by the 3rd time through the order, the opposing team has a pretty good idea of what's coming... and they start to hit him.

The difference between good Wandy and bad Wandy is if the team gives him his usual huge run support by the time the opposition starts to get a read on him... if he gets his 7-8 runs, it won't matter if the opposing team gets 4 off him in 6 1/3 innings.

Actually that would leave them 1 game under .500....just saying.

glavine hasnt thrown in over two weeks. his season was in question because of a numb ring finger/blood clot in his shoulder... same thing for el duque on sunday... theres no reason we shouldnt take two out of three...

also, we need to pay back Johnny Maine for his complete game shutout against us...

i say we pull for the Reds to take two out of three against the Pads, so San Diego doesnt run away with the WC

There is nothing funnier than reading this thread in its entirety the morning after a win. Anytime one little thing goes wrong, most of the participants turn into Chicken Little. Hilarious.

Great win last night. If we can take two out of three against the Mets, we're going to be in good shape. Hopefully Glavine will be a little rusty from the time off.
