This is the type of game that this team has rarely won all year... if they're truly planning on going for this thing, it has to turn around right now.

That is the second time recently that Lidge has screwed up defensively on the mound. He really sucks defensively, probably because he falls to the 1st base side so much on his delivery. Gotta make plays on balls hit like that.

Its probably because he has the highest percentage of outs due to K's in the league... for the past 3 years running.

Garner's managerial baseball logic scares me.

Bidge took a low and outside pitch to the opposite field?! What parallel universe did I fall in to?

Good job by Biggio. Will they walk Puma to load them for Huff.

    Yes they will.

Cmon Huff!!!!!!!!! End this game!!! Just a nice easy fly ball, a walk, lean in and take one for the team.

I'm lookin at it more from the batter's perspective; he's out regardless. If it's a routine fly ball then the fielder should catch it obviously, but if he doesn't the batter should be safe (infield fly or not). I don't he should be penalized for a dumb play by the defense...obviously that creates a problem for the baserunners, so in my vision, they should be given the next base, like if a ball goes out of play the runners are given the base they're advancing to.

Unless, if an infield fly call ball is missed and the batter is still out but the out doesn't count toward the team's total out since it wasn't caught, which would be fine as well. Or maybe I should just accept it as is and stop digging too deep and enjoy the rest of the game. ;)

That was an odd way to end it, but I'll take it.

Haha... only the Astros could win on a bases loaded fielders choice RBI Groundout.
