Did i just see him getting congrats from his teammates for advancing a runner from 2nd to 3rd on out 2 of the inning
Another bad defensive play that doesn't show up as an error with confusion as to whether or not Altuve or Villar was supposed to cover 2nd on a should have been double play.
Looking at the posters in this thread, it would seem the losing has us back to the usual suspects. I don't necessarily think that's a bad thing after seeing the post quality recently.
I would feel so much more comfortable here with L.J. Hoes at the plate rather than friggin Grossman. I just don't even think there is a chance of a hit.
They want Santana to get some all-star game experience by playing in the futures game. In all seriousness, though, they need to start getting some better options up here to at least give Porter a thought about sitting Bob. Right now, its either him or Pressley... not much of an upgrade with Alex (although he did get the nod more often than not over Hoes). Hell, I'd take more of Carter or Krauss in LF (with one or the other as the DH), or just call back up Hoes.
I doubt this front office would ever go after the consensus #1 (or player with the highest possible slot demand). They value the extra slot money at the #1 pick more-so than having the pick of the litter... and for good reason given the crapshoot of the draft.
Ughhhhhh. That's 5 runs in the past 5 games. This young team is going to slump, but it's just hard to see so many RISP opportunities wasted. I guess it's better than those stretches last year where it seemed like no one could get on? Silver lining? But really, the sooner we get an actual LF, the better.
