itll pick-up like always, we always start seaons off crappy. its just once we get to par...i dont think that were gonna get any farther with jimmy at the helm....perhaps we should bring larry back for the regular season, and have jimmy take over in the playoffs.
Mike Hampton perfect through 3. I can't believe hes thrown only 30 pitches. This guy is a walk artist. Take some pitches guys!!
Chipper and Shef are just abusing your pitching. What the hell happened to Wade Miller, isn't he supposed to be a stud? Seriously, I don't watch the Stros much, has he been this bad all year?
Any ideas on how to cure what ails the 'stros? Perhaps the manager can be tossed. Perhaps the players can morph into major leaguers? Maybe Jason Lane can marry Penny Marshall and they can take a trip down Penny Lane.
NO, I believe the managers get to much credit when the teams win and to much BS when they lose. At the end of the day the players have to perform and the Astros are not producing at the plate or in the field on a consistent basis. It`s still very early but we need to start seeing some improvement and I do feel the manager is responsible for this, but it`s a two way street , the manager needs to put the team "in a posistion" to win but the players have to execute.
I am not mad but I don't know what to make of our team. Positives We have a better team this year than last IMO from top to bottom. Bags heating up early + Doggy rebound nicely from a horrible 2002 campaign + Jeff Kents descent numbers so far + descent starting 5 and bull pen. [Add ons] Negatives Berkman's struggles, inconsistent and untimely hitting throughout the lineup and of course Oswalts and Miller UN-ACE-LIKE outings. [add ons] We can rebound but the sooner the better. The Cubs will fall by the curb as usuall. Pirates, Brew Crew and Cincy will be also rans like last year. But those hated cards are back at it they are getting healthier and they are winning some games. I hope we stay close because I believe we have what it takes to surpass them after the ASG break. It is very draining to climb out of a 7-10 hole late in the year so a series winning streak will be in order here. Lets start by dumping all our frustrations on Shane tonight.
sigh... i hate it here in atlanta, georgia since moving here to years ago. everyone here is a got dang braves fan. when watching the game with friends the last couple of games i actually got po'ed and left the room for a while. they mock me and call them "ass-toes", "assy'tros", "as'kews", etc.... astros...please win tonight. i hate looking like a sore loser because i talk trash with the best of'em when they win. 7-6 'stros win.
I have a feeling Reynolds is gonna pitch like a badass while that scrub Robertson is gonna get whooped.
As a Braves fan who just moved back from Atlanta, I understand what you mean. Atlanta fans, for the most part, are the least knowledgeable, rude assholes you will ever encounter.
I don't know if that is necessarily a function of the city as much as it is a function of the teams extended success. The Braves bandwagon has been full for a long time, I imagine, and that usually means a lot of ******* fans.
I agree I strive every day of my life to avoid this sad, sad fate. Worse than the 90's and the Cowgirls......well maybe not quite as bad.
BobFinn* During the early to mid 90's, the city of Atlanta was Braves crazy. They let us out of highschool the first year we won the pennant. They were certainly as excited as Houston was.
Alright, now this is the kind of game i was hoping to see. Tear Shane apart. Come on astros. We need a win sooooo badly. Astros suck. Even the Rangers are better than them.
