The Astros had better jump all over Maddux and Hampton, because I think Reynolds is going to shut them down hard.

You know stuff is bad when Tim Redding is your best starter. I don't actually see much difference in Redding other than not getting killed of course. He's stopped throwing the ball down the middle and started pitching a little more.

    2-0 Braves

What the F is wrong with Oswalt? He really looks average this year.

2-1 Braves. Kent double scores Blum.

Decent comeback, even though I'd like to see Berkman take that pitch.

    Quick 1.5 innings.

    Still 2-1 Braves.

Is it possible to hate Maddux but respect him at the same time? :)

Does Chipper Jones still have a huge fan following in the Houston area? I remember watching games on TBS when the Braves were @ Houston and even the Braves announcers were talking about how odd it was that the fans cheered louder for Chipper than they did for any Astros player.

I remember they had a roving reporter, (similar to Greg Lucas) and he asked a bunch of kids who their favorite player was and they all said Chipper Jones. Skip Carey commented on how it was a shame that kids in Houston didn't idolize Bagwell or Biggio.

I guess it just shows the power of cable television (TBS). The Cubs (WGN) also have a big following in Houston. It seems the fans of these teams are more vocal than the Astros fans.

Actuallly, he did ALOT of arguing. He was hot. He pretty much wanted to get ejected. However, i don't blame him for being pissed. Maddux got his fair share of borderline strikes tonight. Thats what greatness will do for you. :)

Shouldn't the manager have been working the ump over the catcher's set-up, as well as the calls all game?

Jimi again demonstrates he is worse as a manager than the 'stros left side of the infield.
