Wow, ugly play by Gomez, but great job by Bregman not just taking the easy out, but knowing who he has at second in Altuve who can turn that double play.

Well, 1-0. At least it's only 1-0 after the double play. Should be able to put some runs on RA.

    Good throw by Rasmus!

Would have been a shame to waste that great throw.

From one angle it looked like he was safe. From the other angle it looked like he was definitely out.

    I'm glad the call stood.

Lol, I look forward to every bregman at-bat...and then I immediately regret my emotional investment with every weak ass grounder.

At least Bregman got his second of 4+ outs this game to end an inning. That's a plus.

As soon as Marwin or Valbuena comes back, looks like Bregman needs to go back down.

Luhnow sounds like he isn't going to move Bregman anywhere. Disappointing start for sure but I actually like the faith.

With this lineup, unless Correa and Altuve show us more magic, 2 runs might be enough to get the Jays a win here.

I'd rather have him fight through this slump rather than send him down and then hope he gets it together down the line. But he is incredibly bad at the plate.

And the fact that Dickey is shutting us out is really sad right now...our offense is in a nightmare slump. We need to get it going next inning with Altuve leading off.

Luhnow: He's struggled out of the gate but I like his approach at the plate. He'll be successful. He was at LSU a year ago. He's had a meteoric rise. He's done everything we've asked with great success. This is the hardest level. Very few can come up & have success out of the gate. He'll have success, starting this week. He'll be a big part of our lineup for the considerable future.

Before tonight, Lance had surrendered only one HR to righties.

    Tonight, 2 in 3+ IP

Luckily only solos and it's still early. Let's score some runs!!

Lance can still have a good game too.

Given it's a knuckleballer tonight I will forgive Reed and Bregman and look the other way tonight.
