Take that Rangers! Our trade got us a win on 8/1. What did your trades get you 8/1? Not a win.

Surprised Hinch hasn't given Luke another chance at closing. I'd be fine with either him or Giles, time to give someone else a shot. Astros are third in the AL in blown saves. Yikes.

Giles should probably get a dedicated shot prior to Luke getting a second shot.

Kid just got a whole lot cooler in my book.

Sheldon's a Rockets fan, and this kid is an Astros' fan. Keep the celebrities fan base growing, and free agents will be taking pay cuts to have the honor to play for us (and won't let their wives dictate where to play)!

Really need to win these next 6 games. Even 4 of the next 6 would be sweet.

last night didn't excite me one bit. Glad CC got the game winner. But geez, what a disappointment to play that many extra innings.

I think we take it tonight, I hope the bad Dickey shows up tonight, and the bad one is really bad. Luckily the Rangers on the road at the Orioles, who have to keep winning to keep pace in the strong AL East. 5.5 back, I'd be ok with being 4.5 back going into the Rangers series.

Agreed. The good news is our rotation is setup for this weekend (Keuchel, Fister, McCullers) and we miss Hamels. Even better, we face Lucas Harrell.

And the Rangers don't play the Jays the rest of the year so Feldman won't have a chance to even the score

The astros bats have been making mediocre pitchers look like Cy Young winners the past week. Don't get too comfortable.

I can't believe I'm typing this...but we need the stabilizing bats from Valbuena and Marwin in the lineup. We are missing them badly. We've basically gone from great OPS in Valbuena to almost the worst possible OPS in Bregman. That's a huge blow to the offense. Granted, there are other holes in the lineup, but that's just an example of our recent struggles.

Speaking of which, has Luhnow/Hinch mentioned when Margo and Val are expected back?

Baltimore losing can help too. Stros could easily end up battling them for the playoffs.

That line-up right there? That line-up is basically - hopefully - the next 10 years of our fandom (minus the obvious flotsam).

Here we go. Second chance for Giles to prove he has the mentality to take on the AL.

Bregman will breakout for 1 hit today.... extra bases.

Why Gattis continues to not C is mind boggling.

Giles never got a first chance ;)
