What are you going to remember? Sitting 12 hours in the freezing cold with your best friends/family or wasting away the evening watching reruns?
Ok, so if anyone spots a solid TV deal (under $1,000) then please let me know. I don't need a monster 50" TV so it sounds like a 720 will work for me? I know jack about TV's.....
Yes, it's the new DLP technology. I have the older 61" version I got for 2,000 a few summers ago. I'd get this if there are no other deals. But if you do wait a few more months, you'll find better deals.
I think there are better ways to spend time with friends/family than sitting 12 hours in the freezing cold while forming a mental **** list of your new neighbors to pass the time. Most suckers arrive at 3 or 4 in the morning, which won't get you the good stuff. For every 50 great deals, there are hundreds more left in the lurch despite waiting early in the morning for the store to open. And if they don't plan well, they'll have to wait even longer at the checkout line. As a cheapskate, I love to bargain hunt, but I also realized that the effort involved might not make any logical sense unless you get a story out of it to impress fellow bargain hunters. It's a very depressing modern day safari...
So, that's a no? I'm looking through all of these and nothing really sticks out. However I am looking for an external hardrive.. but the original price is $170.. and they're going for $100.. so I'll be saving $70 if I stay up all night in line... probably not worth it.
i'd say no. those things usually get good prices all the time sale wise but that may change once i get a sneak peak at the black friday ad this weekend
Honestly, last year was my first and only time to camp out for black Friday. I was with some friends and my gf. We actually had a great time. We ended up playing football all night in the parking lot, making food runs, and laughing our ass off at jokes and stories we told. I've forgotten alot of Thanksgiving dinners, but that black Friday I won't forget for a long time. (Plus I got a great LCD, laptop, and digital camera.
A few more months as in Christmas time or is something expected to significantly drop the prices more? I have never done the Black Friday thing so do you have to camp out to buy high priced items like TV's?
Whats the deal with that 50in? What store, and do you have to camp and kill yourself? Did it for PS3. Never again...
Same for me. It was my first time. We had a pretty good time hanging out in the freezing cold. We played cards all night and had a pretty good time. There are few thanksgiving that I have remembered...most of them with the family fighting.
