Just watched the Sunday night game. When I see other teams play, it seems like their QB's have all day in the pocket.
Hopefully they carry us again next week too. Could you imagine if our defense was last in the league like KC's defense? Our offense wouldn't score enough points for us to have won any games. If we win ugly again next week It won't matter because we will be celebrating 4 straight wins! We can do this.
He always has. But, he also has the ability to get rid of the ball really quick, and makes scoring in the red zone look so easy. Granted, KC does have the worst defense in the NFL, so that helps.
Plus Andy Reid is calling plays that always gets guys wide open. I don't think Mahomes has to do much other than throw rockets accurately (which he has the ability to). Brady is just Brady though, he's a mastermind.
I know it's not just Davenport, but Davenport is going to get Watson killed. At 10:30 mark lmao. Guys feet are planted in cement.
There was a stat earlier in the season from PFF that watson was pressured on something like 45% of dropbbacks while the average is like 25% and the best teams are like 10%. It isn't normal.
To be fair, neither defense has a particularly good pass rush but just shows how normal/adequate protection looks compared to the swinging door our OL is mimicking. All in all, yesterdays debacle was a equal mix of Watson holding on to the ball way too long and the OL just getting destroyed. The ball on the 1 with the go ahead TD on the line was really a microcosm of the season thus far. Run play up the middle for negative yards, shot gun play for negative yards, penalty by OL, shot gun pass to Ryan Griffin off the mark, FG. But a win is a win. The defense seems to be getting things together a bit which may give us a shot in the division.
It sucks watching Watson behind this line. At times it felt like it did last year with Savage. Can't say I blame Watson for chunking some of those passes out there.
