I've been a little disappointed in the punt returns. Johnson runs around a lot and makes it look like he's doing a lot (he doesn't pause for a second like Jaboby always did), but he's not really getting any results. He's only averaging 6 yards per return on the season. Notice that they started having Martin return punts halfway through the game.
I thought that was because Andre went out.. and they needed Damarus (and Martin, to some extent) to lineup at WR since Posey was inactive. The two things I want in a punt returner are speed and ability to hold on to the ball... all these guys have about the same capability of breaking one wide open... but you can't teach speed and some guys are just more careless with the ball.
Speaking of Posey, it looks like he's not just in the doghouse, it looks like he's under the doghouse.
Looking at the stats, I reckon I was wrong on Johnson and your Ave Return info is correct... he would rank only 19th.

And honestly, he could screw up games for us on a weekly basis and I wouldn't care bc he's done enough for me as a fan where I'd let him do whatever he wants. Look at this thread and look at all my posts being critical about the majority of posters here. It's frustrating as a fan of this team when all you see is negativity.
Didn't you know? Fitzpatrick can do no wrong. Nothing is ever his fault. Throw 2-3 INT, it's the o lines fault. Tipped ball for an interception? Doesn't matter, it's everyone fault except for the qb!

Exactly. The point is that we need a running game to go with mediocre Fitz and that's all we can ask for this season until we get our franchise QB. That's why I don't understand all the crazy reactions to Fitz.

Buffalo is very good against the run, but we made them look like the GOAT. Maybe our run game is not good.. merely above average Why are you so confident? Fitz will still be below average.
