the reason the punts were inside the 10 yard line was b/c that was as far as Stanley could kick it. think about where he's punting from? the guy is averaging 40 yards a punt. well, if you kick the ball from the opponents 40 yard line, and can't kick it more than 40 yards, of course you're gonna get rolls to the 6. when the guy is kicking from our own 15, he can barely get it passed the 50. but he's not the worst of our problems.
I disagree...getting punts inside the 5 or 10 yard line is very difficult, no matter where you're kicking from. Stanley may not have the strongest leg but I guarantee you that he wasn't kicking those punts as hard as he could (the ones that landed within the 10). Also, if you look at the punts...the ball hits the turf at the 6 and takes a high bounce, none of the punts really rolled that much. But like you said, he isn't the worst of our problems. Our secondary basically let the Bills start the game with a 14 point lead.
And that's due to a lack of mental toughness and concentration on the part of the players. This team isn't getting its collective clock cleaned by a superior opponent - it's cutting its own throat so to speak. John McClain said so on Monday. Unfortunately, the only way to fix this problem is to keep cycling out the players left over from the Dom-era until we get a group of guys in here who care enough about winning that they will work hard to make sure they do what needs to be done on the field when the time comes.
