The more AOC and Sanders try to pander to idiots, who don't vote anyways, the more they hurt themselves with the larger populace of partisan voters, many of whom already swung to a guy like Trump based on economy, economy, economy. He needs to focus on the meat and potatoes .. or it's another 4 years of Trump taking things backwards for the long term. I can't vote for Sanders at this point.
Sure. Even though the young lady asking the question mentioned NOTHING about drug convictions and instead talked about terrorists, murderers and rapists.
Right. The issue is raised nationally because of drug offenses. The woman asking the question cut deep by pointing out that not all felons are people doing hard time for things we say “there but for the grace of god go I” about. It was a great question
Just saw the screen shots. That's not what happened. A bit of attention seeking/dramatics on her part.
You seem to be upset abut this. We should try to make tiny incremental changes to the dystopia. Anything else would be angry and divisive.
rut roh. even the Washington Post is publishing anti-Bernie hit pieces Is WaPo on the Biden Train? https://www.washingtonpost.com/poli...82d3f3d96d5_story.html?utm_term=.f66de3ae503f
Why is that a hit piece? they published the same kind of articles on Hillary, so where they on the Berny and Trump train? I guess I'm your opinion unless everything published is a glowing profile of the candidate, it's a hit piece and you are in the tank for someone?
fwiw there are others who perceive the article as a hit piece https://ethicsalarms.com/2019/05/03...washington-posts-hit-piece-on-bernie-sanders/
seems to be a pattern of WaPo bashing Bernie https://www.pastemagazine.com/artic...gton-post-picking-up-where-they-left-off.html https://nypost.com/2016/10/12/how-the-washington-post-killed-bernie-sanders-candidacy/
The 2nd one he did to himself. Do i think Bernie is a socialist? no, at least not anymore. But if he would refer to what he seems to really be, a "social democrat", which is quite different to "democratic socialism", the confusion wouldn't really exist, but in labelling himself a socialist, he is going to have to do so while riding on the corpses of millions. Bernie : I'm a democratic socialist Q : so how are you different to all the other socialists, that killed millions and enslaved many more? Bernie : Not that sort of socialist, I'm like Scandinavia Scandinavia : Hey stop saying that, we're not socialists!!!!
It should remind folks that they shouldn’t just assuming the “liberal media” is somehow in cahoots with the Democratic Party. Bernie has about as much power and influence as anyone currently in the party. However his agenda and the agenda of a few others like Liz Warren are not aligned with the business interests of big tech that funds a publication of Wapo and the multinational corporations that fund the tv networks. No doubt in my mind that Wapo will be hostile to the progressives who want to break up big tech. As long as their reporting is truthful and accurate it doesn’t really bother me. They do more good than anyone in mainstream journalism but it’s important to understand the funding of the big media outlets which are not in line with the more progressive Democrat’s agenda.
Those are opinion pieces not articles and Jenifer Rubin is a conservative. You're trying way to hard.
Those pieces they are referring to are op eds by a conservative author. The progressives are getting a bit of a victim mentality. So should nobody report on Bernies trip to Russia?
Oh yeah he is trying way too hard and op eds have so little weight anymore in terms of news. James Comey writes one and it barely makes the news if it even does. But to my point I still cringe when people go on and on about the “liberal media”... it’s almost as if people don’t know what they are talking about.
https://www.marketwatch.com/story/b...-seat-at-annual-shareholders-meeting-2019-05- This is what leadership looks like. BTW I can tell you that my nephew in So Texas worked for 10 years at WMart, till he left a year ago and never got more than $11/hr, or 40 hours so they cd avoid health insurance under their rules. Bernie Sanders to demand Walmart workers get a board seat at annual shareholders meeting At the invitation of a group of Walmart’s hourly workers, Sanders will appear at the June 5 shareholders meeting in Rogers, Ark., to introduce a proposal calling for worker representation on the board. Walmart employees have been calling for improvements to wages, benefits and more predictable schedules. Earlier this month, Walmart disclosed that its store managers make an average of $175,000 a year, while full-time hourly workers make an average of $14.26 an hour.
