Does anybody else realize that the offensive line has done a complete 180 from what we've all been used to? They've done a phenominal job of actually giving Schaub time to drop back and throw the ball... something that has NEVER been the case with any Texans team on a consistent basis. Alex Gibbs must be doing something good...
have you also noticed the calibur of teams we have benn playing? I think a real area of concern should be our questionable endzone celebrations..... I'm all for TDs and celebrations.....but whats up with all the hip shaking by the white guys?
The Texans actually now have one of the most prolific offenses in the league (I think they're second only to Denver in yardage, and may be #1 by the end of today). The only thing between this team and the playoffs is Richard Smith and his sorry defensive schemes.
Texans o-lines were getting smoked by terrible teams no matter what year it has been. The Bengals have been a main culprit, dominating us in 4 straight wins. This is the most consistent they have ever been... and suprise/suprise... the QB is now effective. When you're following a franchsie that has never won 3 straight games ever... you don't necessarily care about who you're beating to get these wins. The Texans still need to do a whole lot more winning before they're "expected" to win games against lesser opponents.
They play last place teams every year... this is the first time they've looked impressive in any year. There's nothing wrong with pointing that out. (btw, the Dolphins are no longer an assumed win).
As painful as it was at the time, part of me wonders if the infamous meltdown might be a positive for this team long-term. By that I mean, Schaub isn't looking over his shoulder or pressing anymore based on the talk of Sage. With the exception of one early throw against Miami, he's looked extremely sharp ever since Jacksonville.
Speaking of positives, it's also a plus, imo, that we had these two gimmies as the first two games after Dunta's return. It's a great way to ease him back in (obviously he won't be in game shape to start) while effectively having no risk at losing the game. Hopefully he'll be sharper by next week, when we return to playing legit competition.
Also... apparently the Texans weren't allowed to use the "difficult schedule" (or even the hurricaine) as an excuse to start the season 0-3. Now, they can't get credit because of the easy schedule? Whatever...
what freaking terrible call on the unsportsmanlike, karma was in play when we recovered the fumble Missed the 2nd qtr cause they had the girls next door playboy tryout shoots (Valerie ), then american werewolf in london was on.
Do they have any chance at all to make the playoffs?? Matt seems to be playin extremely well at this point.
