I hate this stupid soft zone... a score here, and they're an onside kick away from making it VERY interesting!
Very different in last year's finale to go 8-8...mostly because the team we're playing has something to play for. I feel a lot better closing up this season than I did last season. I think we're making progress...I expect this team to be in the playoffs next season. Seriously.
I thought the Cowboys still needed help from other teams to make the playoffs. What happened that changed that last week?
How bad is the pass rush without Mario? Orton could take a nap back there if he weren't worried about the clock.
Yea... I posted earlier that at least the Bears are trying (unlike Jacksonville and the Quinn Gray fiasco last year). A lot will depend on what they're able to do with the defense in the draft and free agency... they need major upgrades up front and in the secondary if they want to excel next year. The schedule does get easier (at least based on the teams now)... playing the NFC west and the AFC east could be looking really good next year (I do expect the Jets, Dolphins, and Pats to regress a little).
The Texans are not that far away, they just need better ball protection and this is a 10 win team....and getting better. DD
The announcer just said "barring a miracle with a kneel down that goes bad...". I can't remember the last time I heard an announcer even take the time to mention that.
I would say we need another pass rusher, a good player or two in the secondary, and a red zone offense, and we're in the top tier of teams.
