Yeah, I agree which is why I’m not sure what Blum was talking about. They showed that graphic showing we’ve faced the least amount of LH starters in our first 53 games. He said teams were avoiding using their LHP against us… I also find it hard to believe it’s happened more than once this season where a team shuffled guys around so we didn’t face their LHP. Seems like it’s just more luck/coincidence plus teams we have faced not having many lefties.
Yes, that’s when Joe decided to send Luis Contreras out for a 2nd inning and let him load the bases before taking him out.
That was the one. Hunter was awesome and went 6 or 7 shutout. Then melt down. ****ing Contreras and Scott were actively involved and then Abreu gave up the winner in the 9th
That’s my guess but I haven’t been actively tracking it. Seems hard to do and unnecessary this early in the season.
Just remembered it was t Scott that gave up the grand slam after Contreras walked the world I think maybe it was Ort. Scott is the one that blew the ugly game on Monday. Espada literally turned what should have been a sweep into a 1-2 series.
So are we finally seeing stabilization in this lineup? Pena to leadoff supercharging his bat. Altuve moved from leadoff finally gets him going. Meyers rightfully moved up in the lineup. Smith and Dubon giving us good ABs at the bottom of the lineup.
At some point with a lead like this you just pitch to contact 21 batters and 15 first pitch strikes is a good way to live
