I think everyone who went to a game earlier this year saw a loss...

His 10th in his last 29 at bats

It’s funny how everyone waits till he has 10 hits in a week to rip on him

Good news is, he can't do any worse!

I say 5 innings (90 pitches) of 2 run ball would be tremendous for him.

    3 great starts
    1 Average start
    1 Stinker

Only thing that scares me is his last few fastballs in his last start were barely getting to 90mph. Most likely it’s because Espada left him out there so long (ump screwed him too) and he was worn out, but damn if it’s because of some type of injury

Best case, he was rusty and couldn't control the zone and had to take a few ticks off his fastball to get it back in, which led to the grand slam meatballs.

    Then he got tired.

I has said it before on here - but Barry Bonds treated me extremely well when I worked for the Astros. As long as you leave him alone, he is easy to get along with. He gave me his jersey and wristbands when he played for the Giants and visited the Astros. At the end of the series the next year he gave me is cleats. He was real low key with me and just asked me questions about college.

Sammy Sosa was an ******* that tried to have his own music blasting loud when he was doing fielding drills at MMP. He never gave me any issues. McGwire was someone that everyone left alone - including his teammates when I had dealings with him. He didn't seem to really be friends with any of them.

Hopefully Javier actually gives us a chance this time. Why did Espada put Bregman back at clean-up when Pena was excelling there? I know he's had a good few days but maybe moving him down the line-up was the reason.

Bonds was polarizing with players. Few players were indifferent to him - but there were a lot of players that were friends with Bonds and really liked him. There were others that hated him. Bonds basically did what he wanted when it came to working out and the clubhouse. He had a special recliner brought on the road so he had it in the visiting locker-room. That rubbed some guys the wrong way, like Kent, who felt that Bonds should have to do the exact workouts and drills as everyone else. Making it worse - Barry Bonds really dislikes loud and talkative people, and that describes Jeff Kent perfectly.

I haven't heard too many situations were Bonds out of the blue was an ******* without provocation, but if someone tried to mouth off, Bonds wouldn't let it go.

Strawberry, Burks, Gibson, Reuschel, Hamilton, Lofton, Gwynn, Hunter, Reuter and Royce Clayton are guys I know that are good friends with Bonds when he was a player.

I am glad we are beating some sorry teams. But long term, we have to beat good teams to turn things around.

Well said on Barry. Sammy was as *******. I had a bat that Jose Hernandez was using and he he didn't want to autograph it. I said just keep it. Ultimately he signed it. I had good interactions with Mac but I've heard similar

Agreed. We can take a little solace in the fact that the astros played 32 out of 40 games against winning teams. However, they definitely still should’ve won more of those games.

If the Astros can hunker down and just dominate the teams in their division, and beat the bad teams on the schedule, everything should work out fine.

Also, don’t get swept by anyone.
