Yea... and they swept said team, even though they had a ton of LOBsters. The amount of complaining going on in the forum for a team that's won 10 of the last 11 and just completed a 6 game homestand sweep is insane. I personally don't get the white-knuckling through winning streaks thing going on right now. The team is much closer to a 90-95 win team right now and i think that's fine for now. It is due for positive regression later in the season and I expect them to get back to that 100-102winning percentage later. But geez enjoy the wins now.
If you're not willing to give the reigning WS winning manager who's team just won 10 of 11 games a break, maybe you just don't like the guy and that's a you thing. There's a ton of projection going on in fanbase right now. "we don't understand/agree with Dusty's moves" therefore negative traits/values attributed to Dusty. It's a) somewhat narcisistic/ridiculous, thinking you guys know more baseball than Dusty freaking Baker a future HOF manager b) just kinda bizarre that you're willing to talk all this **** about a person who is a complete stranger to you.
Style points don't count, I'll take a win of any kind. We are climbing up the standings, and Altuve is back! Now I want the "professional hitter" at DH.
Oh my lord are you dramatic. Who gives a **** what others post? Let people say what they feel. Everyone here is just as big a fan as you are. and fans will always criticize the manager. Doesn’t mean they think they know more. This is America!! Where have you been?
I hear what you’re saying and I agree, for the most part. There are a lot of professional malcontents around here. BUT…Dusty continuing to bat Abreu behind Yordan is damn near criminal. I don’t think there’s a valid argument that can be made that says you keep him batting cleanup. And it’s not helping Abreu get out of his funk, either. It’s shocking when Abreu puts together a quality AB. It happens every 5th game. It was such a pleasure to see Tuck follow Yordan for those couple games…
Astros lower their MLB leading team era to 3.12. The next best team came into today with a 3.38 era (Tampa). It's the only thing keeping us afloat.
I don't disagree with that. I don't enjoy watching Abreu in the cleanup spot either. But it's pretty clearly people's personal frustrations are turning into insult sessions. You'd figure the wins would be more cathartic than the b****ing, but nope.
We can still complain that we have the worst position player in baseball batting cleanup and a 36 year old catcher who's both the worst offensive and defensive catcher in baseball playing every day above our #2 prospect.
I know. Most people just want to hear themselves complain, and it gets tiresome. Not as tiresome as watching Abreu bat cleanup, though!
Cool but I still don’t understand how it’s bothersome, just fans being fans. Those same folks cheer the loudest too.
