I don't care so much who starts at catcher, but McCormick and Mancini better be in the freaking lineup. If Dusty rolls out a lineup without those two today, we riot.

Well, same with Chas but people on here want him in the lineup every day regardless of the fact that we don't face a lefty every day.

MAN. I just stumbled across Vasquez RAKING vs the White Sox. OPS 1153 in 23 PA this season.

The difference is, Chas is still the best option against righties. Even though he's much better vs lefties. WHEN he rests, it should be vs righties. Dusty was doing the opposite.

So if we face the Rays in the postseason, bench Vazquez, right?

I don't disagree with that. However, I do believe Jake Meyers is much better than this and will find his way. The problem is that we don't know if it will happen this season, or down the road.

    Dubon? GTFO with that BS.

478 is better odds than 309, so yeah.

I'm firmly convinced Jake isn't fixed and he's much better than this and perhaps the long term solution in CF. But the majors isn't where you fix it.

Ever since Doctors said there was nothing physically wrong with JR, I have not trusted their pronouncements about a player's health.

And on the 7th day, God said put Yuli on the bench.

    Today's lineup

    Altuve
    Pena
    Alvarez
    Bregman
    Tucker
    Mancini
    McCormick
    Vasquez
    Meyers

Can we finally solve Cole Irvin?

A .260 OBP and .320 slugging pct in the 2 hole is what I don't want.

Fantastic!!!! One more move and we are perfect. Myers to minors and McCormick to center Diaz to left during the playoffs. I don’t want him playing everyday up until the playoffs for obvious reasons.

I might tweak this if we were in the playoffs, but I HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH THIS LINE-UP or BO.

You just posted one of my playoff tweaks and the other is Maldy vs the lefty. We'll probably see a near split of lefties/righties in the playoffs. A C platoon may be optimal unless things change the next 6 weeks.

2 days in a row with no complaints, in fact this is basically our best team with a fly ball pitcher and against a lefty starter. One could argue for Diaz over Meyers, but it's not a big issue to me that they are trying to get him going and it gives us our most defensive range.
