I especially enjoyed the center fielder leaping at the wall for a ball that landed on the homerun porch.
Our catchers collectively now have 32 RBIs on the season. That's actually not bad considering the .160 batting average.
8 straight curve ball/sliders and then whammo, the fast ball on the outside corner. Must have looked like 102 mph to Bolt.
Alright...who among you saw the Caminiti debut game? I did. I'm sure I saw the Bagwell and Biggio debut games as well.
Does this ump not know how to track a curve ball? I've seen several times on the app a JV curve end up just under the knees, which means it's over the plate as a strike, it's been called a ball every time.
Not many pitchers would have their B- game like JV is experiencing today and still be pitching a shutout. I saw the same thing in Clemens when he was with the Astros. These all time great pitchers towards the end of their careers figure out how to get through a sub par outing by out-smarting the hitters ultimately.
Anybody know what site will give a breakdown of each type of pitch thrown? Because I'm going to go out on a limb and say that this is the lowest % of fastballs in any outing in JV's career. That was something to behold. One slider/changeup/curve ball after another.
